Give Trash – Get a Plant

Give Trash - Get a Plant

Plastic has become a major issue and a serious concern for the United Nations. Plastic is also a significant threat to important issues like cleanliness, environmental conservation, and wildlife protection. In this context, many meaningful innovations are taking place to achieve the goal of freeing the country from single-use plastic! In line with the intent of the Indian government, the workers of the Shri Kalpataru Organisation are also playing their important role through various campaigns and programs! The “Jaipur Sharing Festival” has been started with the theme “Give Trash – Get a Plant”. It has also received support from many honored individuals and institutions, including Erik Solheim, the sixth chief of the United Nations Environment Program!
Under the campaign, the volunteers of the institute go door-to-door to collect useless materials like plastic, scrap, furniture, clothes from people and gift a plant in return.
This useless material is prepared as much as possible and given to needy families. This work goes on from Dussehra to Diwali, and a WhatsApp number is also issued by the Organisation for this, on which the address, location, and list of goods can be sent. This campaign has also found its place as a question in the books of Rajasthan General Knowledge. Through this campaign, the task of bringing a smile to the faces of thousands of needy people who had broken down during a global human disaster like Corona was also successfully done. This time, the cooperation of other Organisation and NGOs is also taken to take the campaign to a broad level. This campaign also inspires people to adopt a minimalist lifestyle. Plastic pollution is the biggest threat to the environment, and all countries need better waste management to deal with the plastic waste found in water and the environment.
